Boilovers in the first two finals of the TAB Regional Championships has resulted in two of the biggest First 4 dividends for harness racing in New South Wales on the NSW tote.
Last Wednesday night at Bathurst, the First 4 dividend on the TAB Western Districts Region Championship was $102,217.80, which is a record for a First 4 dividend on a New South Wales harness race.
Terryrama paid $89 for the win on the NSW tote and finished ahead of Bettor Jiggle ($19.60 the place), Make Mine Memphis ($1.50 the place) and Uncle Jord ($5.30 the win on the NSW tote).
The previous record for a First 4 dividend on a New South Wales trots race was $89,338 for Race 4 at Harold Park on June 5, 2009.
Yesterday at Wagga, the First 4 dividend on the TAB Riverina Region Championship was $51,975, which is the eighth-biggest First 4 dividend for a New South Wales harness race.
Rocky Creed paid $48.50 for the win on the NSW tote to beat We Salute You ($4 the place), Western Sonador ($1.50 the place) and Ideal Fantasy ($47 the win on the NSW tote).
One TAB punter collected $15,468.75 from a $250 outlay on the First 4 of yesterday’s TAB Riverina Region Championship:

These huge payouts have been enhanced by $12,500 First 4 jackpots on the TAB Regional Championships Finals, which replaced the TAB Million Dollar Pace due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
The remaining two finals of the TAB Regional Championships take place this evening with Ashark $2.80 favourite for the TAB Hunter Region Championship at Newcastle (Race 4 at 6:24pm AEST) and Wolf Stride $2.90 favourite in the TAB Metropolitan Region Championship at Menangle (Race 5 at 7:42pm AEST).
