1. Lim’s Kosciuszko: High class Singapore animal who has been okay in two runs this time in. But, back to 1100m, I don’t think he’s good enough and sharp enough to beat them.
2. Recommendation: The query is that he is cast after the Hong Kong trip. But, I will say in two runs back for Recommendation, they have each been on roads. He is a horse who loves to get his toe in and there is decent rain forecast for tomorrow through to Friday, so I suspect we will be on a track with genuine give and he has been crying out for it. Spanked them in this race last year and at the price, I think he’s worth a speck.
3. Kallos: Looks to be set for the race. He has always been a barrier trial star but his recent trial to get ready for this race…oh boy he smoked and went like a rocket, and gets B Shinn. Likeable for sure.
4. Extremely Lucky: His absolute best is good enough to win. But just haven’t seen it for a long time.
5. Kin: Bursting to win a Stakes race and got it last time in the Gai Waterhouse at Ipswich. Blessed in run there though and this is harder. Not liking her.
6. In Flight: In Flight has been given a five week freshen up since winning the Bob Charley at Randwick. Credit to her, she had to dig in late to get the win but really liked the way she knuckled down. Tick over trial was good and the stable rarely get it wrong when they go on the road for a hit-and-run.
7. Mrs Chrissie: Likes racing at Caulfield vs the straight at Flemington when resuming, but even allowing for that, she was plain. Pass.
8. Sixteen Reasons: SCR
9. Cleo Cat: She tried her guts out in the race that Mrs Chrissie, won by the in form Marble Nine. She could force the issue early from out wide, land on speed and be dangerous.
10. New York Lustre: Has done little wrong in her eight start career but this looks different gravy and just not sure she is up to that level.
11. Lingani: Lingani is a sneaky first four hope. She resumed over 1000m at Morphettville Parks two weeks back where she got run off her legs early but picked up late and was good to the line behind Sir Now. Fitter, fast run 1100m, she can launch late.

Lim’s Kosciuszko and Recommendation look the main speed runners, but given he is a sprinter, he looks the leader provided he jumps clean. Cleo Cat could press forward as well from the wide gate, while New York Lustre will settle handy.
