That heading is a line from the global number 1 hit of 1963 called Poetry In Motion.
Her lovely locomotion, keeps my eyes open wide, is also part of the song which was recorded and made famous by 60s pop star Johnny Tillotson.
Now, this afternoon at Hawkesbury a horse trained by John Thompson, called TILLOTSON (Deep Field – Jerry’s Witness) races in the 6th race and should win.
Certainly the money for her overnight would suggest so, as would the manner she put away a recent Randwick trial.
She runs as if she is poetry in motion and Rachel King who rode er in the trial, rides her here too.
Tillotson’s had a start, last prep when 5th at Newcastle, but seems more seasoned now and ready to burn them off early, find the front and stay there.
Sadly for Tillotson, the singer, he never had another number 1 hit.
But, he did go close with, It Keeps Right On A-Hurtin which made number 3.
That of course will follow should Tillotson lose today!
