A strong field has been assembled for the Quezette Stakes (1100m) this Saturday at Caulfield, where the depth looks strong.

2025 Quezette Stakes Runner Preview:
1. The Playwright: I don’t think she’s well treated at the weights but when you look at her CV, it’s warranted. She looks the leader and with B Shinn on, she’ll give an almighty sight.
2. Icarian Dream: SCR
3. My Gladiola: She went like a rocket on debut in the Blue Diamond Preview but did nothing from then on. Talent is there I think but I want to see her do it again.
4. Scenic Point: She is the boom filly everyone is talking about. For mine…I don’t see why. The two wins last prep were strong, impressive, but she beat nothing and the subsequent form out of those races confirms that. Jumpouts have been strong, she can win for sure…but I can’t take the odds.
5. Blue Hotel: She has an engine under the hood and I do think is the short course type out of this lot that could give this race a shake if she’s ready. Watch betting.
6. Signature Scent: Signature Scent comes here with fresh legs, five weeks between runs since a track/distance win where she got better as the race went on and was strong through the line in winning. Good test here at Stakes grade, but a recent jumpout was sharp and she’ll be strong late.
7. Tiz Worthy: Solid win first up but needs it easier than this.
8. Thanks Gorgeous: Honest filly who tries hard but lacks the class to measure up.
9. Custom: Could be a sneaky chance at odds. Trial work has been solid and she should be strong late if they overdo it. Watch betting.
10. Ferivia: Ferivia is a filly with an engine under the hood for Phillip Stokes. She won like a rocket on debut at Murray Bridge before going to the midweeks at Sandown. If Neindorf was able to get to the outside, I have no doubt she wins. Instead, she came inside in the inferior ground and just missed. Keen to see how she goes.
11. Semelle Rouge: Debut win at Sale was encouraging but just not sure she’s ready for this kind of race.
