Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au reports little interest in the three-year-old, who has eased to $5.00. Shooting To Win and Hallowed Crown are equal $3.00 favourites.
“Scissor Kick should be suited by the small field and out to 1600m is a definite plus. But the punters don’t see it that way and roughie Sworn To Silence ($21) is even attracting more interest,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
Catkins ($2.90) is firm favourite to finally breakthrough for a Group 1 win in the Canterbury Stakes. However, Hooked ($13), Criterion ($13) and Tiger Tees ($9.00) all have admirers.
In a great day of racing at Randwick, here is where the action is in the other races:
- Money for outsider Perignon ($8.00) in the opener.
- In the Todman Stakes Headwater is $1.80 to remain unbeaten and cement his place at the top of Golden Slipper betting.
- Team Hawkes can make it a running double if well backed favourite Mihiri ($4.00) salutes in the Wenona Girl Quality.
- Smart sprinter Rubick resumes and is favourite for the Challenge Stakes. It is one-way traffic for Rubick ($3.60 – $3.00).
