Punters have honed in on Hosier to remain unbeaten in Australia when he steps out this afternoon at Flemington in race seven on the card.
The horse is being kept pretty safe in the Melbourne Cup market with a lot of water to go under the bridge between now and the first Tuesday in November. But punters think he can win again, backing him into as short as $1.60 from even money, now sitting at $1.70.
In what is a market dominated by him, he is the lone runner at single figures, with the next best being Tooradin and Perennial, both of which are at $15.
