Punters have loaded up on two three-year-olds to win Saturday’s $1.5m Doncaster Mile at Randwick.
The John Sargent trained Brandenburg has been heavily backed into outright favouritism at $6.00 after opening in the final field this morning as a $9.00 chance with Sportsbet.
Brandenburg who will be ridden by Doncaster Mile specialist Glen Boss is coming off a sound run in the George Ryder Stakes behind Dreamforce and with next to no weight on his back and from a good barrier punters think he is the horse to beat.
The other horse to have solid backing since the final field market opened has been Caulfield Guineas winner Super Seth, despite not really having a weight allowance punters think from an inside barrier he will get the run of the race and the double figure odds of $15 did not last long with the Anthony Freedman runner now at $8.00.
Melody Belle opened favourite for the race at $7.00 but has been easy all morning after drawing wide and she is now at $8.00.
