Verry Elleegant is the easing favourite in todays Turnbull Stakes
Punters are casting the net far and wide when it comes to the feature race at Flemington this afternoon, the Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Group l level.
Heading the market is Verry Elleegant, but has been quite easy, opening $4.20 and sitting now at $5. If the track is red hot in terms of firmness, she’ll be displaced as favourite based on market trends.
There have been a couple backed with confidence to beat her, namely Surprise Baby, into $5.50 from $7, and the four year old WA galloper Superstorm, who touched $7.50 from $9.50 but has settled at $8.50.
