A close relation to champion mare Winx has been the subject of a good early move with Sportsbet.com.au to win the feature race at Flemington this Saturday, the Kensington Stakes (1000m).
El Divino, a very talented three year old who didn’t quite live up to the hype and expectation when trained by the Waterhouse/Bott team, is now with Darren Weir and despite having bigger fish to fry, from all reports, he has settled into the new surroundings and the punters agree. He opened $8.50 and has been crunched, now into $3.80.
Stablemate and red hot favourite Hellbent opened $1.60 but has been easy early on, now sitting at $2.40. That really is the tale of the race, though there has been a speck for a couple of roughies, Little Indian ($51-$17) and Super Fun ($21-$15).
