Punters back long odds shot in Edward Manifold Stakes

Punters have backed Kinky Boom at big odds in the Edward Manifold Stakes

Punters are keeping their powder relatively dry when it comes to the Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) this Saturday at Flemington.

Heading the market is Amphitrite, who won last Wednesday over 1400m at the track. She was $4 out from $3.50 but has settled at $3.90. The interesting runner is the former kiwi and stablemate Very Elleegant, who is very safe and solid at $4.20.

Another stablemate, Krone, is also very solid at $5, in from $5.50. There has been specking at much longer odds for Kinky Boom ($51-$41) despite drawing the car park.
