Today’s impressive Talindert Stakes winner Prairie Fire has shortened into equal favouritism for Saturday’s Blue Diamond Stakes.
Prairie Fire was heavily backed in lead up to the 1100m sprint down the Flemington straight jumping as the outright $4.40 favourite and punters were spot on with a long sustained run saw the well bred Snitzel colt win well on the line.
Prior to today’s win the Mick Priced trained Prairie Fire was $51 in Blue Diamond odds with Sportsbet but now sits as the equal favourite at $8 with a host of runners in what will be an open Blue Diamond Stakes field.
