Over The Odds – Saturday’s Races 26/12/2020

Sportsbet have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Caulfield Race Six Number 3 Spirit Of Aquada ($19.00):

Can see a stack of speed here, so want to be on a horse that will get three wide cover and launch late. Think one of those will be Spirit Of Aquada so I’ll lean his way. Last time he won a race, I think rainbows were black and white. But you look back on his form from last prep…it was all in tougher races, whether it be 78, 90 or even the Group lll Sir John Monash. Host of gear changes and his recent Pakenham jumpout win was electric. I think he’s a great each way bet.

Caulfield Race Eight Number 3 Mosh Music ($13.00):

Mosh Music has a fab second up record and reckon she can be very dangerous here at odds. Resumed in the Gold Bullion at Pakenham and was good late despite being in restricted room behind the low flying Corstens galloper, The Astrologist. Fitter, up to 1700m, and with her sharp second up record, think she’s a live chance.

Randwick Race Five Number 4 Kiss The Bride ($34.00):

He might need one more, but $41+ was bet early about Kiss The Bride and that just looked a bit on the silly side. Finished 11/14 first up behind Kirwan’s Lane, but it was a day where making up ground from the back was a tough ask. His late splits were quite good I thought. Rachel King jumps on and if he can hold a forward spot, ideally stalking stablemate Frosty Rocks, gee I think he’ll run a big race.

Randwick Race Six Number 8 Primitivo ($14.00):

Primitivo is flying for John Thompson and is looking to be ticking along beautifully towards the Magic Millions Stayers. He ran over the mile here two weeks ago and I thought his run was enormous. Back near last in the run and had to make his run from around the 700m-800m mark. Still loomed. Just ran out of puff late to run fourth. Fitter, up to 2000m…really keen on him running well en route to the Gold Coast.
