Over The Odds – Saturday’s Horse Racing 27/8/2022

Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting.

Randwick Race One Number 5 Sky Diamonds ($11):

The majority of these don’t have great winning strike rates, including this girl, but I think she’s flying. She was excellent at Moruya last time, working home with real purpose late in the piece when third, producing some of the better late splits of the meeting. 1400m, firmer deck, I think she’ll only run well.

Randwick Race Four Number 14 Herb ($8.50):

He doesn’t have the high profile of some of these, but he is a horse with good talent and third up from a spell, should just about be at peak fitness. He was wide throughout last time and loved the way he kept finding when a narrow second. Tinkering with the head gear, J Collett on from a soft gate, I think he’s worth an each way speck.

Rosehill Race Eight Number 2 Basquiat ($2.00):

Resumes for Chris Waller, having not raced since the JJ Atkins when a game fifth to Sheeza Belter in what I think will be a hot form race for the Spring. He has looked to jog in a couple of trials and we saw last Saturday with Zougotcha that a spell in the Sunshine State can do wonders. I think that might be the case with this guy and J Mac at 54kg…that screams out this horse could be a moral.

Rosehill Race Ten Number 10 Sur La Mer ($8.50):

Hard to get away from Sur La Mer, who is absolutely flying this time in for Chris Waller. Game second to Frumos, a star, two back. She then raced a few weeks ago over 1300m here where she made an absolute mess of them and was dominant. In form, good speed in front, she’ll take beating.
