Sportsbet.com.au have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find a runner from each city that appears overs in betting, and hopefully we can continue on from last week after finding Banda Spice and Bullitt County last week.
Caulfield Race Six Number 2 Lyuba ($6.00):
I concede that the odds on pop Ameristralia looks hard to beat, but Lyuba is next best in betting at $6 and that does seem very good overs. She is hard fit and in ripping form. Won well down the straight two back before having little luck here Boxing Day. Draws to get a soft run, gets the claim whereas the favourite is fresh and drawn wide. I’d rather take the $6 for the reliable mare.
Warwick Farm Race Eight Number 10 Lady Jivago ($17):
This is a very wide and open contest with a number of chances, but I think the price of Lady Jivago looks a touch of overs. She has had little luck in recent times yet has run very well, the latest coming a fortnight back behind Suspense when shuffled back with plenty to offer. I think with clear running here, she’ll take some beating.
Gold Coast Race Three Number 7 Explosive One ($20):
In a real dartboard kind of race, I think you could do much worse than having something each way on this bloke. His form this time in has been pretty solid without winning, and keep in mind also that he did have somewhat of a run at Lismore but that race was abandoned due to a nasty fall. He’ll do no work from the gate, he has run well on wet ground before, has upside and is down in the weights, plus the stable is flying.
Morphettville Parks Race Six Number 5 Gallic Chieftain ($1.90):
$1.90 is just tremendous overs for this horse. I had him marked $1.50 and wouldn’t have been shocked to seen him open shorter, so the $1.90 is a good play. His form recently has been very good. Bolted up at Pakenham where we have seen a couple of winners then beat all bar Flying Light at Flemington and that horse won on Sunday. All things being equal, he’ll bolt in here.
