I highly doubt he can win…but then again we said that about Prince Of Penzance. This horse was pretty good in the Moonee Valley Cup (2500m) when making ground against the bias behind The United States. Prince Of Penzance ran second, so the form reads well, he has upside, doesn’t mind give in the track…$18 the place looks worth a cheeky flutter.
Canterbury Race Two Number 4 Gitan ($11):
Doesn’t deserve to be this price. Trial wins have been very sharp, and he did beat run much faster time than Amber Isle on the same trial session yet that horse is $4.60. Big overs for Gitan I think.
Doomben Race Three Number 2 Skip Town ($11):
This former Sydney-sider ran well I thought last time out here behind Trubia, getting back from the wide gate and coming out near the centre of the track on the turn. Draws better and will be closer.
Morphettville Race Four Number 8 Grand Armada ($13):
This bloke wasn’t suited by the slow tempo last start over the mile here behind Beau’s My Boy. He will be suited up to 2000m and this race isn’t strong at all, more so if the topweight comes out.
