Don’t Deny Us is two from two this time in for Robert Heathcoate and Sportsbet.com.au punters believe he’ll continue the picket fence when he lines up this Saturday at Ipswich in the Schweppes TL Cooney Handicap (1350m).
The gelding last ran at this track over 1200m a tick over three weeks back and was a strong winner, albeit in easier company, but that hasn’t stopped the punters here. He opened $17 and has firmed at every call, now into $12.
Dee Nine Elle is the $3.50 favourite but is an alarming drifter after opening $3.20, while the top weight and class runner Always Sacred is rock solid at $4.20.
