Nature Strip is the odds on favourite in Saturday's Lightning Stakes

The Lightning Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville this Saturday shapes up to be the one of the real highlights of the Winter with a clash between Nature Strip and Sunlight, and that’s reflected in the market.

Nature Strip has the hard fitness under the belt and impressive wins next to his name. He’s $1.50 and stays at the opening price after originally touching $1.40. Sunlight is the clear second elect and has been best backed of the pair in early betting, firming down to $2.40 from $2.50 but is now sitting at her opening price.

Fancy Rumble is the next best in betting, all the way back at $51. Thompson’s Reward and Lady Soma have eased from their opening quotes.
