Mystic Journey has been an alarming drifter in today's Turnbull Stakes

Punters have deserted current Cox Plate favourite Mystic Journey in today’s G1 Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.

Mystic Journey opened at $2.25 in final field markets for the Turnbull Stakes on Wednesday but has drifted at every call seeing her odds now out to $3.20 and only just holding favouritism in the race.

The big move has been for Mr Quickie who is $4.20 into $3.40 and if the support continues is set to to take favouritism for the race prior to jump time.

There has also been some specking at big odds for the 2019 Melbourne Cup favourite Finche who is $10 into $7.00 and Kings Will Dream who is $13 into $9.50.
