1. Lazzura: Lazzura has class on her side and class will carry her a long way. She last raced in the Empire Rose where she just got run off her legs by Pride Of Jenni and was solid late without threatening. Trials have been solid and despite the tricky gate, she commands respect.
2. Oh Diamond Lil: SCR
3. Cilacap: Seemed to move quite well in a recent Cranbourne jumpout and could have run in Melbourne but stable comes here, has a good gate and Nash. She is a must for exotics.
4. Pinito: Talented mare having her first run for Chris Waller. Trials have been pretty good but thinking she may need the run.
5. Drak Glitter: She’s an absolute ripping mare. Ran so well last Saturday behind Weeping Woman and is suited up to 1300m…I think she’s in with a shout at odds.
6. Shohisha: SCR
7. Modella: Modella is first up for Team Curtis and commands respect at a price. She last raced in the Golden Eagle when safely held but was far from disgraced in defeat I thought behind Autumn Glow. Looks to have trialled up very well, she can run a bold race.
8. Cinsault: Flying this mare and is hard fit, with a good racing style, but surely she is not up to these.
9. Heat Missile: Dominant win at Warwick Farm last time but think she needs it easier.
10. Super Norwest: Not much went her way last week in the Triscay but this looks much harder.
11. Mareth: Good filly, talented filly…but up to this level surely?
