Sportsbet has secured the services of two time Melbourne Cup winning jockey, Corey Brown, to ride their punters’ racehorse with 15,000 connections.
Brown, who rode Rekindling to victory in last year’s Melbourne Cup, as well as Shocking in 2009, will jump aboard Four Beers Please in the Kennards Mine Lighting Maiden Handicap next Monday in Dubbo.
The filly, who’s misfired in her first two appearances at the races is currently a $41 chance with the online bookmaker to breakthrough for her maiden victory with Brown at the helm.
Four Beers Please will be Brown’s only ride on the day, after Sportsbet’s punters voted to have the chestnut filly race at Dubbo ahead of Nowra on Sunday.
“Our little battler is starting to look like she’ll need all the help she can get. We’ve hired a gun jockey in Corey to hopefully add another famous victory that might just be sweeter than a Melbourne Cup” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ella Zampatti.
