Collects of over $100,000 on two TAB Multis will come to fruition on Saturday if $3.20 favourite Dalasan is victorious in Saturday’s Caulfield Guineas (post time 4:30pm AEDT).
The Multis – both placed on September 13 – involve races that have occurred in the early stages of Sydney’s The Everest Carnival and Dalasan winning the Caulfield Guineas is the final leg in both of these trebles.
In one Multi, $292 was placed at odds of $429 on Funstar winning last Saturday’s Flight Stakes at Randwick, Kolding taking out last Saturday’s Epsom Handicap at Randwick and Dalasan in the Caulfield Guineas for a potential $125,268 payday.
In the other Multi, $321 was wagered at odds of $312 on Bivouac to win the Golden Rose at Rosehill on September 28, Funstar to salute in last Saturday’s Flight Stakes at Randwick and Dalasan in the Caulfield Guineas for a potential $100,152 windfall.
Dalasan – trained in Adelaide by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas – has won four of his six starts and was second in the other two races he has contested.
Dalasan resumed on August 17 with a victory in the Spring Stakes at Morphettville before winning the Danehill Stakes at Flemington on September 14 and finishing second to Alligator Blood in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude on September 29.
