Malahide has been the best backed runner outside the favourite in Mode Stakes betting
Michael Costa has one of the form stables in Queensland at the moment and punters think the purple patch can translate to blacktype success when his filly Malahide runs in the Mode Stakes (1200m) this Saturday at Doomben.
The daughter of Shamus Award kicked off her career in the Winter where she won 2/2 and was electric each time she stepped out. Been tipped out with the Carnival in mind and her recent trial was very good. $7 seemed a touch of overs and she’s tightened into $6.
Favourite for the race is Outback Barbie for Tony Gollan at $2.60, and you’d nearly say it’s D-Day for her given this is the easiest race she has contested since her two year old days.
