Memo is the new Magic Millions 2-year-old Classic favourite after being tightened from $6.50 into $5 by TAB ahead of tomorrow’s race on the Gold Coast.
Previous favourite Invincible Woman has been pushed back to the third line of betting at $7 with La Bella Boom, who is shaping as the best backed runner heading into race day.
Another former race favourite, Icarian Dream is now equal second favourite with Gallo Nero at $6.50.
“Memo was one of the best backed before the final field was locked in, so the market is probably just readjusting now that things are starting to settle,” TAB’s Gerard Daffy said.
“It was into $6.50 from $7 on Friday morning and is now outright favourite at $5.
“After usurping Icarian Dream following the barrier draw, Invincible Woman has gone from $5 to $7 behind Icarian Dream and Gallo Nero, who has taken several bets of note over the past 48 hours.
“La Bella Boom is the one punters are after though, with a potential look towards the weather forecast.
“She’s the best backed with TAB, taking up over a quarter of the outlays with around 27% of the hold, compared to Invincible Woman with 13% and Memo 12%.
“Space Rider is still a watch too should it get a start.”
Snitzanova remains favourite and best backed in the Magic Millions 3-year-old Guineas with around 20% of the TAB outlays.
