Long odds shot best backed in the Run To The Rose

Peltzer has been heavily backed at a big price in todays Run To The Rose

A runner at big odds has been the subject of good support with Sportsbet when it comes to the Run To The Rose (1200m) this Saturday at Rosehill.

Pelzter, who opened $11 and has tightened in significantly, now into $7.50, he resumed in the San Domenico and was very good in defeat behind Anders. He has been the key firmer in the small but quality edition of the race which is set to shape the Golden Rose.

Golden Slipper winner Farnan is still the short priced favourite for the race. The three year old has looked outstanding in the trials and appears to have come right on from his 2YO season. He opened even money, which was perhaps a touch too short, and is now out to $2.15.

On the second line of betting is JJ Atkins winner and Everest runner Rothfire, who is at $5 but like Farnan has been easy in betting with punters looking for some value.
