Eagle Farm Race Five Number 8 So Clever ($2.90):

He’s a nice horse, but just does plenty wrong. That was the case last time in, but a couple of times, he had every chance and couldn’t get the job done. There is a bit of depth to this Class 3 and does he deserve to be $2.90? IMO he’s priced on hype more so what he has done on the track. I’d want $4+ before entertaining him. Even then, he isn’t reliable yet.

Morphettville Race One Number 2 Residue ($3.80)

Gee I’m really surprised that 1) He has been supported and 2) He is so short. He was big odds when winning his maiden last time. Yes, a solid win and yes he’s up against a thin, but $31 last time for a narrow win, now $3.80 in a benchmark race, I think that is way too short for him.
