Punters are staging a late plunge on the 2025 Golden Slipper on a horse who started the day at double figure odds.
The late money on the $5m Golden Slipper has come for the Kris Lee’s trained Rivellino who is unbeaten in three career starts including the $2m Inglis Millennium. The son of Too Darn Hot started the day at $12 with online bookmakers but is now into $8.00 and could start even shorter by race time.
Early favourite Wodeton is drifting in the betting markets. The Chris Waller-trained colt had been the race favourite for months, but after consecutive defeats, the market is moving away from him. He now sits at $5.50, easing from $4.60.
Tempted, winner of the Reisling Stakes, remains firm at $5 as the race favourite. Skyhook follows at $7.50, while Marhoona has been the clear market mover, shortening into $9.50 from $13 with betting apps in Australia.
