Early money in the race was for Vain Queen at the double figure quote although trainer John Sadler has said she will run in the Oakleigh Plate which has seen the money now come for the Mick Price galloper who is $2.80 into $2.25 looks the likely favourite in what could be a match race with Deep Field.
Deep Field opened as the $2.50 favourite before being well supported but with the news of Vain Queen’s likely absence from the race he has again eased slightly to $2.45.
The early betting is dominated by these two with the only other shortener being WA Sprinter Waterman’s Bay who is $26 into $17.
