There were some nice performances at the Caulfield jump outs on Tuesday, largely from the Moody and Price stables. Who caught our eye the most? Find out down below.
Caulfield- Tuesday, March 24: Weather Fine, Polytrack.
Heat One- Realise The Dream (1st):
Mick Price trained two year old that made her debut back on Cox Plate Day when eighth to Fontiton. She did have support in betting on that day, so obviously some believe there is talent. She jumped well in this particular jump out, sitting three deep on speed and looking to travel really well, getting the win on the line under no pressure.
Heat Three- Sebring Lane (1st):
Handy filly for Mick Price who hasn’t raced since Cup Day, but gee she looked very sharp in this jump out and was clearly the best of the morning. She led all the way and won under a hold, beating home some classy opposition, including Speediness, who went well, and Bring Me The Maid, who went very poorly IMO.
Heat Four- Brown Burberry (2nd):
Had three runs in maiden company during the Spring and was really ordinary, but he looked pretty good in this particular jump out, leading but away from the rail. The horse inside him railed up to lead and go on to win, but it was under more pressure compared to Brown Burberry, who looked as if he had plenty in reserve. Could be in for a much better prep.
Heat Five- Altura (2nd):
Peter Moody mare who hasn’t raced since August last year, but she looked in really good order in this particular jump out, showing good speed to lead and setting up a sizable lead, but coming into the straight, she was under a hold and coasted to the line, which allowed a runner to go past her, but the winner was under pressure while this mare was under a big grip.
