The Rosehill meeting started with a strong win by Annabelle Neasham trained Lady Laguna. There was early money for the filly who firmed $8.00 in to $6.00 before drifting out to $7.00 at the jump. Runner-up Gendarmarie was the biggest mover of the race after opening at $41 and shortening to $26.

After the late scratching of Participator, Testator Silens firmed from $5.50 in to $4.80 favourite for the TAB Highway. It was a close win for the 4YO gelding who held 30 percent of the market. Runner-up King’s Trust was heavily back during the day after opening at double figures and firming $19 in to $7.00 at the jump. Third place runner Shenandoah was the biggest the mover of the day firming $31 in to $10.

RACE 3
Sepluchre took out the third at Rosehill at double figure odds ($26). The 7YO mare had little support from TAB customers throughout the day with majority of the support given to runner-up and $2.40 favourite Rebel Rama who held 62 percent of the overall market.

RACE 4 – ATC CUP
Polly Grey proved that she loves a wet track in the ATC Cup. Punters were confident the 7YO could get the job done with the mare firming $5.50 in to $4.80 during the day and holding 40 percent of the money. Despite drifting out from $2.10 to $3.80, Mightybeel remained favourite ahead of the 2000m race.

RACE 5
Irish Angel didn’t disappoint punters in the fifth at Rosehill. The $3.20 favourite firmed to as short as $2.90 before settling back to $3.20 at the jump. The Chris Waller trained mare was the best backed of the race with 36 percent of the money held followed by Liberty Sun with 28 percent of the market. Liberty Sun was also the biggest mover in the race after opening at $7.00 in the morning the gelding firmed in to $3.70.

RACE 6
Favourite Lord Ardmore (3.70) took out the sixth at Rosehill in another win for Chris Waller. Runner-up Media Starguest opened at $6.00 in the morning and firmed to $4.80 before drifting back out to $6.00. New King who held 25 percent of the market was best backed of the race but drifted during the day from $3.50 out to $4.40.

In an upset for punters, Vulpine ($11) took the lead to win the Starlight Stakes. TAB customers showed little support for the winner, instead majority of the money was behind favourite Tambo’s Mate who firmed during the day from $3.30 in to $3.10. Runner-up Dream Circle was the biggest mover firming $19 in to $13.

Favourite Ellsberg stormed home to take out the feature race at Rosehill. After seeing support throughout the day and firming $2.60 in to $2.30, the 4YO saluted for punters in the Group 3 Festival Stakes. Stockman ($19) had a strong finish coming second and Bandersnatch also saw support during the day firming $7 in to $6.00.

Bluff ‘N’ Buster took out the last at Rosehill. After a few scratching’s the Jason Coyle trained gelding firmed $14 in to $8.50 and was able to get the win down the inside rail. TAB customers were showing support for the both Formentera ($9 – $5.5) and Sacred Command ($8.00 – $5.50).

Dragon Storm stormed home in a photo finish to take out the Sandown Cup in an upset for punters. The Michael Moroney trained gelding was the biggest mover of the race after opening at $34 and firming to $16 at the jump. Favourite and runner-up True Marvel was heavily backed by TAB customers with a 50 percent hold on the market and firming $2.70 in to $2.40 during the day.

It was a tight finish but $2.50 favourite Steinem took out the Summoned Stakes over Quantum Mechanic. The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained mare who opened at $6.00 earlier in the week, saw support throughout the day firming from $3.10 into $2.50 and held just under half of the overall market. After opening at $5.50 in the morning, runner-up Quantum Mechanic drifted on the day to $7.00 at the jump.

It was another winner at long odds at the Caulfield today with Sound ($19) taking out the Group 2 race for a second year in a row. However, all eyes were on short favourite Spanish Mission who ran a disappointing fourth. TAB customers had showed strong support for the Peter Moody trained horse who firmed from $1.55 in to $1.40 and was responsible for more than half of the money held.

Regalo Di Gaetano claimed the Group 3 Eclipse Stakes in another double figure win at Caulfield. After opening at $15 earlier in the week the gelding continued to firm to $10 at the jump. Bonvicini specked from $11 in to $10 and then back out $12 on the day, and Starelle drifted from $5.50 out to $7.50.
