RACE THREE – STAYERS CUP
The money was right or Sweet Thomas heading into the Bookmakers Recognition Day Stayers Cup (3200 metres).
Opening the day at $3.10, weight of money saw him crunched into as low as $2.50 before he jumped a $2.60 chance.
Such was the amount of money riding on the nine-year-old that he overtook Kaapfever ($2.50-$3.10) for favouritism.
In the end, Sweet Thomas held more than twice as much money as the runner-up.

RACE SIX – CIVIC STAKES
Bandersnatch was the popular elect with punters all day heading into the Taylor Civic Stakes (1400 metres).
Backed in from $5 early in the morning and bottoming out at $4, Bandersnatch went around as a $4.20 favourite and held nearly double the amount of money than anything else.
Threeood ($6-$4.80) had backing all week but couldn’t get into the race.
CAULFIELD
RACE ONE
Jigsaw got the day off to a good start for punters by leading throughout in the opener from Caulfield.
TAB went up $2.30 on Wednesday with the money coming pretty much straight away. Today, he was crunched into $1.65 and held 62 percent of the total investment.
Jigsaw went around more than six times as popular as anything else in the race.

RACE FIVE
Punters were burnt after Im Thunderstruck came undone as a hot favourite in the fifth.
TAB went up $2.80 on Wednesday which was quickly snapped up and by the time markets reopened this morning, red figures were available.
That didn’t deter the punters though who crunched the Mick price & Michael Kent Jnr runner into $1.60 favourite. Such was the weight of support for the gelding that he held nearly 57 percent of the market.
In the end it was Divine Diosa ($23), holding five percent of the money that the winner did, which proved best for Damian Lane.

RACE SIX – TATTERSALL’S CUP
Incentivise roared into favouritism for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups after demolishing his rivals in the Tattersall’s Cup (2400 metres).
The Steve Tregea-trained galloper was six times as popular as any other runner in the race and held 64 percent of the total investment.

RACE EIGHT – SKY RACING TATTERSALL’S TIARA
The strong money all day suggested Tofane would be too strong in the SKY Racing Tattersall’s Tiara (1400 metres).
Going around nearly twice as popular as anything else in the race, Tofane was crunched from $4.80 in the morning to start at $3.60. She had bottomed out at $3.30 just minutes out from the jump.
Subpoenaed ($9-$11) was a drifter on the day but was still the second most popular runner in terms of money held, while Nudge ($12-$17) and Odeum ($5.50) were the only others to hold six figures.

RACE NINE – HEALY STAKES
In a very competitive affair, Away Game went around as the most popular runner in the W.J Healy Stakes (1200 metres).
The Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace runner was $5-$4.20 on the day and was just one of two runners to hold six figures with TAB Fixed Odds. Jen Rules ($5-$4.40) was the other.
Overall, Away Game was responsible for 25 percent of the total investment.
Of the others, Bella Nipotina ($8.50) was a notable firmer all week having been double figures when markets opened.
