RACE FOUR – CITY TATTERSALLS CLUB HANDICAP
La Chevalee did the right thing by punters in the fourth event.
The ‘good thing’ of the day saluted at skinny odds, however, there was never any cause for concern as the Written Tycoon mare was given a gun ride by Tim Clark.
Holding 46 percent of the total investment, she was one of the best and most confidently supported runners on the card.
The Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace runner opened $2.30 and bottomed out at $1.95 before starting $2.20.

RACE SIX – MIDWAY HANDICAP
A nice betting move come off with Lord Zoulander racing clear over the final stages to take out the Midway Handicap (1200 metres).
Opening the day as a $26 chance, consistent specking throughout the day saw the son of Zoustar tumble into $9.50 – easily the most significant mover in the race.
Brenton Avdulla followed the inside lanes all-the-way to land the money for trainer Gary Portell.

RACE NINE – TAX TODAY HANDICAP
Vitesse won a three-way thriller to produce one of the roughest results of the afternoon.
The Chris Waller-trained mare was a losing result for TAB after going around as a $23 chance. She opened at $17 in the morning.
Think Free ($17) and Monegal ($26-$34-$26) added to what turned out to be a First 4 that returned in excess of $55,000 on the NSW TAB.
FLEMINGTON
The Good Fight provided one of the upsets of the day when it was too strong in the Flemington Cup (2800 metres).
Although the win wasn’t totally unexpected as he was a $14 chance with TAB Fixed Odds, South Pacific was a $2.20 favourite and one of the best supported runners all day.
The fav went around with nearly half the market on its back and was the only horse to hold six figures in the race.
