Short priced Ranvet Stakes favourite Gailo Chop is easing in markets
Punters aren’t that keen on the short odds on offer for Gailo Chop as he looks to add another 2000m Group l win this Saturday at Rosehill in the Ranvet Stakes (2000m).
The Darren Weir trained stayer hasn’t raced since running in the Australian Cup where he looked all over a winner but was bloused late by Harlem ($11). Gets a wet track this time, which he loves based on form, but the $1.70 opening price seemed far too short and the punters agreed, pushing him back out to $1.80.
The best run from the Australian Cup was Single Gaze and the money has come from her, into $7 from $8 and could well tighten further. She is the clear second pick ahead of two runners at $10, Prized Icon ($11-$10) and The Taj Mahal ($9-$10).
