Swan Hill
$100 Win Stealthy Lucas R6 (Tote)
Swan Hill Overview: Stealthy Lucas looks just about ready to win for the Paul Preusker stable. Good signs that he was back in business two back at Bendigo before racing at Flemington where he was slightly held up at times in the straight but was out in time to win. Just found Admiral’s Joker too sharp but was good late, and that form was franked yesterday at Flemington via Dr Drill. Should be beating these.
Hawkesbury
$100 Win Petronius R3 @ $3.7 (TAB)
Hawkesbury Overview:
think Petronius is a great bet against this lot. He looks the clear standout of those that are yet to race and I just question the strength of the raced brigade. Gary Moore trains this colt, who has had four trials to date, two this prep and has won them both in good style under Tim Clark. What I liked is that when he’s been clicked up, there’s been an instant response. Very hard to beat here I think.
Edenhope
$100 Win Fiery Dawn R1 @ $4.8 (Sportsbet)
Edenhope Overview:
I think she’s a great bet to start the program at Edenhope. Had trialled up really well for Paul Preusker prior to debuting on the home track at Horsham where she was a little unlucky when fourth to Aisle Six in a maiden which had depth to it. Been given a little freshen up and was very impressive by a Hamilton jumpout last week when going through the motions under a really good hold. Was squeezed late and picked up instantly. Think the $4.80 is more than acceptable in a very winnable maiden.
