Impressive last start maiden winner Pungo is a warm favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au for the opening race at Flemington on Saturday, the Carbine Club Stakes (1600m).
Trainer Chris Waller loves to target this race with a progressive horse and Pungo is indeed that off the back of a sharp maiden win at the midweeks at Warwick Farm. Opened $3.70 and is now at $3.50.
He holds the call over Tijuana at $4.80, with Elkington Road in a point from $7. The one met with interest at odds is Watadeel, opening $16 and firming into $9.50.
