The second galloper has been locked in for The Everest to be run at Royal Randwick on October 19 with Hong Kong-based owner Bon Ho and Carmel Size Racing securing Classique Legend for their slot that was purchased from GPI Racing.
Classique Legend has tightened from $15 to $11 with TAB Fixed Odds as a result of this announcement.
Classique Legend was inserted as a $26 chance following his victory in the Arrowfield Sprint on Day 2 of The Championships last month and firmed to $15 three days later.
“Even though Classique Legend has only raced on four occasions for three wins and a third placing, there is plenty of excitement regarding the current three-year-old gelding trained by Les Bridge,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
Classique Legend is the second acceptor for the third edition of The Everest after Pierata – $7 with TAB Fixed Odds – was confirmed as the Aquis Farm runner last weekend for the world’s richest race on turf.
