Cascadian is the class of the field in the Northerly Stakes (1800m) at Ascot this Saturday and he is favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au.
The James Cummings trained gelding brings the best form into this race and has panels on them re class. The queries are the wide gate and the fact he has been in work a long time. But, punters are siding with him, sitting as a $2.80 favourite.
The only danger according to the market is three year old filly and last start WA Guineas winner Amelia’s Jewel, who is $3 out from $2.80. Next best is Bustler, who is rock solid at $9.
