Bookies think the Apollo Stakes will be a wide open race

Think It Over is the favourite with Sportsbet.com.au for the feature race at Randwick on Saturday, the Apollo Stakes (1400m).

The Kerry Parker trained gelding had a fabulous 2021 Spring, largely thanks to dodging Verry Elleegant. He looks to have trialled up well and is the market elect at this stage, sitting at $4, in from $4.20 after touching $3.90.

Champion mare Verry Elleegant resumes after her Melbourne Cup triumph but as expected, has been soft in betting, now at $5 after opening $4.80. The early firmer has been Collette, into $8.50 from $9.50.
