Sydney filly Falkenberg has firmed into favouritism for Saturday’s Queensland Oaks.
Falkenberg will jump from barrier three in the Eagle Farm Group 1.
Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au cut the Peter and Paul Snowden trained filly’s price from $7.00 into $6.00.
Influencing the price cut is the likelihood that previous favourite and first emergency Provocative ($12) may not gain a start.
Imposing Lass shares the second line of betting with Romantic Maid on $8.00 and the well backed Dawnie Perfect ($8.50) has the outside barrier 18 to contend with.
“This looks a tough race for punters, but Falkenberg should be able to race a lot closer this time. She was slowly away last start and ran on strongly so the step out to 2400m should suit,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
