Big move on Randwick G1

Big Duke is the best backed runner ahead of Saturday’s The Metropolitan at Randwick. The Darren Weir runner is coming off a disappointing run in the Naturalism, but punters have been forgiving, with nearly 40% of the money on the six-year-old.

It’s a three-way go for favouritism between Libran, Life Less Ordinary and Antonio Giuseppe, who are all at $5.50 with online bookmaker sportsbet.

Who Shot Thebarman ($12) and Foundry ($9.00) have been well supported at each way odds.

“In such an open betting race, it’s been surprising that the money hasn’t come for any of the three equal favourites. Big Duke could overtake the lot of them if the strong support continues,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
