Bet One- Each Way- Tamworth Race One Number 8 Hey Dude:
I’ve seen much worse double figure shorts. This bloke is on debut for Mel O’Gorman and I think he can run a bold race at start one. He trialled last Wednesday at Tamworth and to my eye he looked to move really nicely when a narrow second without being touched. That was a soft track so any give here no issue and he’s worth an each way ticket.
Suggested Bet: $25 E/W at $15/$4.6 (Sportsbet)
Bet Two- Quaddie- Tamworth Quaddie:
Think we can get it. First leg I’ve got four chances, cheering for Melted Moments at near double figures. Second leg I have five, with the big improver looking to be Epic Event. I think Under The Thumb should win race seven and in the last, Sister Joy with the claim does look well placed, albeit in a tough race.
Suggested Bet: $50 1-2-4-5/1-2-4-5-6/3/1-3-6-8= 62.5%
Bet Three- Win- Mackay Race Four Number 6 That’s Anna:
Looks one of the better bets at Mackay. Tom Button trains this mare, who was heavily backed when debuting at Rocky but just didn’t quite know how to knuckle down properly but didn’t turn it up when second to Fay Element in a maiden which has already produced two subsequent winners. If she can get cover from the draw, she’ll take some beating.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $4.4 (Sportsbet)
Bet Four- Win- Moe Race One Number 4 Kaapow:
Looks a good race for this Busuttin/Young runner. There was a confident market push for him at this track/distance last time where he got back, wide with cover, but was pulling a fraction. Just took the sprint out of him I thought but closed off well enough to run third to a handy one I think in Tolemac. Highweight grade maiden, he looks very well placed.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win at $3.5 (Sportsbet)
Bet Five- Win- Moe Race Three Number 7 Secret Vega:
Just needs luck from the inside gate. He was well backed when racing over 1000m here last start and he was unlucky to finish closer. Just got badly held up when appearing to be bolting and he lost pretty much all momentum. Eventually got clear and was sound late. Up to 1200m suits, has gate one…does look an ideal assignment.
Suggested Bet: $40 Win at $2.8 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $200
