Last 10 Days: LLWLLLLLWW
Overall Results (Since June 7): $2610 Profit
Bet One- Win- Kempsey Race Two Number 5 Ted’s Dream:
He was big in condition first up at Coffs Harbour, and in the end he was beaten by fitness when second to Just Sizzling. Yet to show gate speed in four career starts, but did ping the lids in a Jan 14 trial at Coffs Harbour. If he takes advantage of the draw, he’s the one to beat, and I’d much rather $5 it than $2.30 Sunreel.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win at $5 (Crownbet)
Bet Two- Win- Kempsey Race Five Number 5 Foxy’s Foxinator:
Takes on the older horses but he’s very likeable here in a winnable race. Resumed in a 1000m maiden during the Grafton Carnival and the punters stepped in late, backing him into a clear favourite and the bets were landed with a dominant win. Bit of depth here, and I think he’ll drift, but happy to be with him.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Win- Bathurst Race One Number 2 Contemplate:
Anything over black figures will do me, but at the time of writing this, no prices were up. He does look the standout. ran over the Hawkesbury 1500m last time and tried hard but was no match for the talented Savona Sunset. Quickly up to 1800m is the little niggle, but I think he’ll handle it and he has the most upside.
Suggested Bet: $20 Win (Tote)
Bet Four- Win- Bathurst Race Four Number 1 Zabeel’s Choice:
It’s just about a case of any price for this girl, though you do have to be on guard with the Baker/Ryan combo at these country tracks. She does look the winner though. Just pipped on the peg last start at Kembla Grange by Katgully Red, who is above average. I think leading isn’t her go. Much prefer her with a sit, especially at 1400m. If that eventuates, she wins.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Bathurst Race Six Number 2 Fraternater:
Billy Owen has done some wonderful things in the saddle since making the transition back to TAB meetings and he’s reaping the rewards. Think that will continue here with this Neil Osborne galloper, who had been bursting to win a race all prep and it finally came at Cowra when ridden arroganly by Owen, sitting out the back, rounding them up and putting them away. Now her confidence is up, she can go right on with it.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $170
