Bet One- Each Way- Randwick Race Two Number 4 Unguarded:
Think this girl can only run well. Ran over 1100m at Warwick Farm last time where she did a bit wrong in the straight, wanting to duck in behind Voila, but kept chasing and didn’t entirely turn it up. She’s quirky, but looks to have talent and should get a lovely run from the draw. Double figures early on was more than acceptable.
Suggested Bet: $10 E/W (Tote)
Bet Two- Win- Randwick Race Three Number 2 Spring Charlie:
He has been very good at his past couple, running out the 1400m both times strongly, the latest at Warwick Farm when doing a bit of work in the run but just proving too good. 1550m is a query but should get every chance from gate one. $3.50-$4 is the price you’d like to get if you want to get on, which I hope he can.
Suggested Bet: $30 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Win- Randwick Race Eight Number 3 Renewal:
Normal luck and he’ll be winning. He’s flying for Team Hawkes but unfortunately tardy starts have cost him dearly, first up when beaten narrowly by Don’t Give A Damn before running fourth to Conarchie last time after being badly away. Third up now, he should be ready fitness wise…just needs to jump.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $3.8 (Sportsbet)
Bet Four- Win- Geelong Race Eight Number 5 Botti:
If he has handled the trip over, I reckon Botti will be winning. There is a lot to like about this Baker/Forsman trained three year old, who resumed in the Wanganui Guineas, a race won by absolute stars in the past. He just didn’t appear 100% ready but stuck to the task well when running fourth. He’ll eat up the extra trip here, firmer footing and is in the right stable.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $5.5 (BetEasy)
Bet Five- Win- Geelong Race Ten Number 3 Tamasa:
Time for Tamasa to put up or shut up. I’ve labelled him as, potentially, the most exciting horse Weir has, but he’s got to do it on race day now. Unlucky resumption at Geelong before going to the Parks track, and on one hand, you could say he was disappointing, but you have to bear in mind he was dealing with a clear bias towards those nearer the inside. He gets another chance…but it’s nearly last chance.
Suggested Bet: $50 Win (Tote)
Total Spend: $300
