Bet365 punter collects $100,000 in 6 Horse challenge

A sharp punter walked away with a massive $100,000 payday on Saturday after successfully landing all six selections in Bet365’s Pick 6 competition.

The popular promotion called 6 Horse challenge requires participants to correctly select six winners from a nominated set of races, with smaller prizes paid for those who pick four or five winners.

Saturday’s challenge featured races 7, 8 and 9 at both Caulfield and Randwick, providing a tricky test for the $13,500 punters who entered the competition.

One standout entrant proved up to the task, correctly identifying all six winners to claim the full jackpot.

The winning selections included Big Wigs [$3.60] in the Showdown, Sixties [$1.55] in the Pharlap Stakes, Birdman [$3.20] in the Peter Young Stakes, Salty Pearl [$2] in the Platinum Guineas and Lazzura [$5] in the Coolmore Classic.

The toughest leg of the bet proved to be Crystal Clear in the Ajax Stakes, which saluted at odds of $5.50.

The winning punter was the only participant to correctly pick all six winners, taking home the entire $100,000 prize pool.

Bet365 reported that 149 players managed to pick five winners, each collecting $67, while a further 1,350 entrants selected four winners to receive $3.70 each.
