Alaskan God heads the Ladbrokes.com.au market for the feature race at Ascot on New Years Day, the Perth Cup (2400m).
The Dan Morton trained four year old hasn’t quite set the world on fire this time in but gets to 2400m for the first time this prep, the scene of his WA Derby triumph in the Autumn, and with connections getting Pat Moloney across for the ride, he is popular with punters, sitting at $3.80.
ATA winner Truly Inspired is on the second line of betting at $5.50, clear of Buster Bash at $7.50, who has been up forever it seems like but keeps holding his form.
