Moonee Valley will host a thrilling day of Group 1 racing on Saturday, headlined by the William Reid Stakes over 1200m.
Alongside this prestigious event, the Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) for three-year-olds and the Sunline Stakes (1600m) for fillies and mares will also be run.
The William Reid will feature the Oakleigh Plate Quinella of Jimmysstar ($4.00) and She’s Bulletproof ($7.00) with Jimmysstar currently heading the market with online betting sites.
Three-year-old Reserve Bank ($26.00) will make his top-level debut against older horses.
Growing Empire ($11.00), who was expected to race, will now target Sydney events, skipping the William Reid.
Ciaron Maher’s stablemate I Am Me ($15.00) may race at either The Valley or in The Galaxy, with a final decision pending for her this weekend.
Benedetta ($6.00) and Stretan Angel ($15.00) are set to make their debuts, and Schwarz ($10.00) is also expected to line up in what is shaping up to be a competitive field.
