1. Ginger Baker: Think with a positive ride, he leads and should run very well. Just not 100% sold on how well he’s going.
2. Opportunistic: I think with a half positive steer, Opportunistic wins. He didn’t get that in the Boulder Cup last time and it cost him the win I think, nabbed late by The Jester’s Son. He is the best horse in the race re ability and if he gets a decent ride, he’s the winner.
3. The Jester’s Son: The Jester’s Son is absolutely flying. He had the suck run in behind the speed in the Boulder Cup and once he got clear, he let down strongly to finish over the top and score. He clearly commands respect the way he’s racing.
4. All Grunt: All Grunt is on the seven day back up after racing last Saturday at Belmont, closing strongly from off speed when second to Miss Veuve. He’s found positive form and his best is good enough to be dangerous.
5. Citino: Was good late when third in the Boulder Cup but just not sure he has the killer blow.
6. Currimundi: He’ll be strong late…just think he lacks the class to finish the job. One for exotics.
7. Lavalier: Not going well enough to trouble these.
8. Lillian: I thought she was plain in the Boulder Cup and looks the hole in the market.
9. Royal Law: Like him up in trip but think he lacks the class.
10. Sowar: Surprise winner last time and is suited up in trip but don’t think he’s quite good enough.
