Vinery Stud has confirmed its 2026 service fees for a nine-strong stallion roster, headlined by rising star Ole Kirk, as the farm continues to build momentum following the integration of Kia Ora Stud bloodlines.
General Manager Adam White said the lineup offered breeders strong depth across all price points.
“We are delighted with the line-up we are able to offer breeders this year,” White said. “There is truly something for everyone at every level, and we are excited to see what the future holds for the 2026 roster.”
Ole Kirk, crowned Champion First Season Sire, has had his fee lifted to $110,000 (inc GST) after continuing his impressive trajectory with his second crop.
The son of Written Tycoon has already produced five individual stakes winners, including Group 1 winner Ole Dancer, and his progeny have been well received in the sales ring with averages exceeding $200,000.
Fellow emerging sire Farnan, who joins Vinery from Kia Ora Stud, will stand at $77,000 (inc GST) after finishing as the leading sire of winners and stakes performers in his first crop.
“Both Ole Kirk and Farnan continue to demonstrate they are two young stallions on the rise, with both stallions covering their strongest books yet and are set to prove themselves as vital stallions to our industry going forward,” White said.
New addition Tropicus, winner of the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate, will stand his first season at $27,500 (inc GST). The son of Too Darn Hot adds further depth to the roster as a high-class sprinting prospect.
“Tropicus is already attracting strong support in his first season,” White said. “As a Group 1-winning sprinter by Too Darn Hot, he offers breeders access to an exceptional sire line and profiles as a horse capable of producing early runners.”
Hawaii Five Oh, by I Am Invincible, will stand at $16,500 (inc GST) as he prepares for his third season, with strong interest already building around his first crop of foals.
Captivant, who has his first juveniles on the track this season, will stand at a reduced fee of $11,000 (inc GST), while established sire All Too Hard remains unchanged at $27,500 (inc GST).
“If he wasn’t already considered one of the best value stallions in the country, All Too Hard has certainly confirmed it this season,” White said. “His consistency, toughness, and ability to produce quality performers year after year sets him apart.”
Exceedance will stand at $22,000 (inc GST) following a productive season highlighted by multiple stakes performers, while Star Turn drops slightly to $11,000 (inc GST) and continues to deliver strong results both domestically and internationally.
Headwater rounds out the roster at $5,500 (inc GST), maintaining his reputation as a reliable source of winners with 66 Australian victories this season.
White said the evolving roster reflects an exciting phase for the farm.
“Many of the top line stallions are reaching possibly the twilight of their careers now, so to have two up and coming horses on a roster of the calibre of Ole Kirk and Farnan is something we are very thankful for.
“If they can keep heading in the direction that we strongly believe they’re going in, it will be fantastic not only for us, but for Kia Ora, who will be utilising them both as well.”
