Nash Rawiller and Linderman have combined for another feature race triumph at Rosehill.

Nash Rawiller has praised Lindermann’s never-say-die attitude after partnering the grand campaigner to a dashing victory in the $2 million Hill Stakes at Rosehill.

After winning the Rosehill Guineas aboard the horse in 2023, Rawiller didn’t reunite with him again until this year but has now ridden him in nine of his past 10 starts.

They have included a Chelmsford Stakes win over Sir Delius and narrow second to star mare Fangirl in the 7 Stakes before the pair combined to dominate Saturday’s Hill Stakes (1900m) field.

“His biggest asset is not just his heart but also his attitude,” Rawiller said.

“He never gives up. He probably knew he was more in front than I did, to be honest, because I wasn’t sure, but he’s just a horse that keeps coming through for you.”

Rawiller admitted he wondered if Lindermann had lost his mojo when the gelding disappointed in two runs through the Brisbane winter and again first-up in the Winx Stakes (1400m) when unplaced on a heavy track.

But in hindsight, he said the horse was simply taking care of himself.

“I started to lose a bit of faith in him on wet tracks,” Rawiller said.

“But he’s smarter than me. He was just looking after himself and thankfully for that reason, he’s been able to bounce out of them and put in his heart and soul like he normally does.”

Lindermann ($2.30 fav) controlled Saturday’s race from the front and never looked in danger of defeat, scoring by 2-1/4 lengths over last year’s winner Attrition ($18) with Queensland Derby winner Maison Louis ($26) third.

Darren Beadman, representing trainer Chris Waller, described Lindermann as a stable favourite, not only for his ability on the racetrack but for his personality off it.

He admitted the horse had already won him over in the two months he’d been part of Waller’s team since finishing his former tenure with Godolphin.

“We were competing against Lindermann when I was with Godolphin but to see him, he’s such a dude of a horse. He’s big, strong and powerful and gets the job done,” he said.

“He has stood the test of time, ever since he was a three-year-old running here in a Rosehill Guineas.

“He is a pillar of the stable.”

Beadman wouldn’t rule out Lindermann backing up in next weekend’s King Charles III Stakes (1600m) but said Waller would make that call during the week.
