Growing Empire just holds the call with Ladbrokes.com.au for the McNeil Stakes (1200m) this Saturday at Caulfield.
The Ciaron Maher trained colt has looked like a jet both on race day and in jumpout work, but noteworthy that the Blinkers are off so that is a potential reason why he is an easing favourite at $2.60 after opening $2.35.
The firmer has been Stay Focused, who is at $2.90, in from $3.40. Wonder Boy, an eye catcher in the Vain, is rock solid at $9 with bookie apps.
