Racing Victoria’s stewards will make all runner’s in this Saturday’s Gr 1 Blue Diamond Stakes for the babies, undergo a rigorous vet check prior to the race.
And they have started their checks this morning.
This follows a routine check that found unbeaten 2nd favourite LOFTY STRIKE (Snitzel – Overreach) lame in his front fore leg.
Racing Victoria has spoken to his trainer Julius Sandhu re the colt.
They have advised him they will return to test/check him again tomorrow to determine if he is well enough to race.
If he is scratched it will dramatically change the betting of the race.
He currently is a $7 chance with palmerbet.com.au.
Jacquinot leads the market at present at $5.00 in one of the widest betting Blue Diamonds in history.
